I always enjoy book that tells a credible story, book about people I could meet any day, book which makes me think, laugh and cry. This one falls in all those categories. And the suspense is adding the right amount of spice to it. For me it is wonderfully written story of two people who were meant for each other, who found their other half but first they had to fight for happiness really hard.Couldn't put it down, I fell in love with the main characters and cheered them all the way.
Totally recommend, now I head to the third book in the series :)

I enjoyed Vince's story. I had read #3 in this series first, so I knew about him and Sophie, but reading their story filled in the blanks I didn't know. I liked Vince a lot. He is a super good guy who wants to do the right thing. He even helps take care of his sister and her little boy, which just earns him tons of bonus points in the swoon department. Sophie is a challenge for him, as he has always been strictly by the books...and she has him trusting his gut. Sophie seems like a genuine sweetheart.

This story is about FBI agent Vince Gage and Sophie, whose family he's investigating for selling art forgeries. Along the way they begin a relationship, although Vince has a hard time deciding if she's involved in the crime or not.
in this book there was suspense, mystery, and romance. There was a who-did-it feel for a good portion of the book. My only issues came towards the end. It felt a little rushed. There was also tension between Vince and fellow agent Spencer Chance that wasn't resolved. At one point there's mention of step-siblings, but if they shared one of the same parents they would actually be half-siblings, not step.
Despite these issues, I enjoyed this book. This is the second one in the series. I hadn't read the first one, which is Spencer's story, and it worked fine as a stand alone. It did make me wonder a lttle about Spencer and Vince's history, so I'll probably go back and read the first one.

I have just started reading her books and I would recommend these books to anyone. It's always hard to wait for the next one.
I read the reviews posted before I bought the book but it was a slow go for me. I had just finished a couple of really excellant books and I think that might have affected my opinion of this book. I almost deleted it before the end. But I read about 4-5 books a week, and I am an old lady what do I know.
I love a good mystery mixed with romance. This one kept my interest from start to finish. A good read.
Kate Kelly tells a good story. I could go with a bit more suspense and less romance. I am always looking for a fresh new author to read and am looking forward to reading more of her books.
Kate Kelly has such a deft hand. I think I've read just about everything she's published. Her pleasure in the rhythm of language is evident. I love that this series takes on the unusual setting of the art world, and the love story, spiced as it was by the suspense thread, was delicious.
